Can I use clips that are out of the box?
The original factory packaging from Vicca is what ensures that the clip has not been tampered with and that you are safeguarding all the information needed for traceability. Therefore, do not accept clips out of the original packaging.

Are the Vicca clips compatible with MRI?
Yes, however, be aware of the capability of the resonance equipment that will be used in the exam.
Cobalt clips are compatible with magnetic fields up to 2T (Tesla).
Titanium clips are compatible with magnetic fields up to 3T (Tesla).Always consult your doctor, radiologist, or clinic responsible for the examination before you perform it.

What is the difference between the clips made of cobalt alloy or titanium alloy?
Titanium clips have a greater radiological advantage when compared to cobalt.

Should I use a clip more than once?
No, in addition to studies on the mechanical properties of the alloys used in the manufacture of clips, do not recommend this procedure, the Ministry of Health, through RE 2,605 dated 06/31/2006, prohibits the reprocessing of any neurological implant in Brazil.

Is the one-time issue valid for all manufacturers?
Yes, this single use determination is an international standard of quality and through government resolution it has become a legal requirement. The institution or company that violates such resolution will be in disagreement with ANVISA’s determinations.
