The use of clips in the treatment of carotid stenosis aims to facilitate temporary occlusion of the carotid artery and its ramifications during the endarterectomy procedure.

Although the CEC line clips have temporary application, they are manufactured using the raw material specified in ISO 5832-7, which associates excellent mechanical properties with the compatibility of use in magnetic resonance imaging equipment of up to 2T or computed tomography.

Each Vicca clip is designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9713, which guarantees the international standard of our products.

ADVANTAGES OF THE CEC LINE

The reduced need for dissection implies reduced surgical time.

– The shape of the clamping (without the pleating caused by the clubs), associated with the controlled closure force of the clip, reduces the intimal damage and the consequent risk of postoperative arterial thrombosis.

– The application of the clip and complete arterial occlusion, may be done without circumferential dissection of the artery, preserving the integrity of the pericarpid arterial plexus. This results in easier postoperative blood pressure control (reduces BP variation), decreasing the time of observation and permanence in ICU and hospital.

– The application of the clips through the applicator allows more distal occlusion of the internal carotid artery and more proximal of the common carotid artery, enlarging the area of ​​surgical action with the same incision. This is particularly useful on the high boards. Reduces risk of facial and hypoglossal nerve damage.
